SRUC’s Thriving Natural Capital Centre is contributing to the NFCA expertise from research on governance of nature markets to case studies of nature uplift projects.  

SRUC is currently undertaking several UK Government funded projects evaluating the drivers of land use change including agricultural policy, climate change mitigation and adaptation, renewable energy, economics and trade.

This includes spatial modelling of natural capital. SRUC’s Thriving Natural Capital Centre acts as a hub for research and engagement with the wider land use community, in particular the growing interest in ecosystem markets as a driver of land use change.
